Our anchor Scripture tells the story of Naaman who was the captain of the Syrian Army. As a captain, no decision of war could be taken without consulting him, but he had a setback – he was a leper. This story proves to us that it is possible to have outstanding results in life despite setbacks. Challenges are part of life. At every point in life, you are either facing a challenge or celebrating a victory, and the victory is usually as a result of overcoming the challenges. Now, this is the point: even though Naaman was leprous, he did not allow his condition to limit his destiny – he still commanded non-leprous people. The excuse not to do something will always be available but to expect a challenge-free life is to die without relevance. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 11:4, He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. Beloved, never permit any setback in your life to render you insignificant. We are a generation of people that are irresistible, indefatigable and un-fightable; the devil cannot stop us in Jesus’ Name. Remember this: It is possible to have outstanding results in life despite setbacks. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Fight temptations and trials with faith; never give up. 2. Always look up to God as your Source of Help. PRAYER: O LORD, I ask for Your grace and the faith to face every trial and temptation that will come my way. Grant me the grace to stand strong despite confrontations in Jesus’ Name. FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: IMPACT DESPITE SETBACK.
