SUPPLY YOUR PART TO THE BODY Categories: Daily Devotional Dec 6th

SUPPLY YOUR PART TO THE BODY  Categories: Daily Devotional   “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ”. Ephesians 4:11–12 (KJV)    The work of the ministry is winning souls, laying hands on the sick to recover, casting out devils, and ensuring that the Kingdom of God is expanding. Everyone is expected to do the ministry of the Kingdom for the edification of the body. To edify means to build up. If I am not involved in serving Him, then I cannot be edified. I cannot be built up. The Bible says we should continue to work to build up one another “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13, KJV).    When each body grows the way it should grow, we become strong and nothing can penetrate us. No force can withstand us and no opposition can stop us. But every part must be working properly. You must supply your part while I supply mine. When each separate part works as it should, the whole body grows and knits itself together through love. If each body is working as it should, then you will do your part as choristers, ushers, greeters, etc. In this way we are all built up and we are better in fellowship. Everyone is blessed, because we all win together. That is what happens when the body functions as a whole.    When all the parts participate, the ministry is fulfilled and our divine purpose is accomplished. We are built up together as a whole and that is how we retain the hand of God in our individual lives. The hand of God is open, and because we are connected to one another, we can receive. We are better together than we are apart. Let us connect today. Somebody needs what you carry, and you need what others carry. It is connection that brings down the power of God. May God grant us the spirit of unity in Jesus name.    Further Reading: 1 Corinthians 12:1–27  Daily Bible Reading: Morning—Daniel 3–4; Evening—1 John 5   Spread the Word, Share!
